Multi-tasking
I’m on a conference call, and find myself looking at cute pictures taken this past week. Allow me to indulge you…
Bath time is Jojo’s FAVORITE time. He run’s upstairs for the bath. Which is nice, because he’s usually in need of one : – )
Fun with boxes!! Both of them can fit in a Huggies box.
Please note Joey’s fave Hello Kitty boots. He’s very manly in them, though.
Oh “hi” cute boy. His new word is “hello”. “Hello Daddy…Hello Mama, Mommy, Maaaah”
Snow Day!
I’m locked inside slaving away in my office, I mean bedroom, today. I didn’t have the patience or will to brave the commute. Or to put actual work appropriate clothes on, or any lipstick for that matter. My desk is in the loft – much too high traffic with the little ones scampering about and conference calls all morning. So my office becomes the bedroom. It’s quieter, there’s a lock on the door (though they can pick it), and the view is bestest. I heart Mt. Si covered in snow.
Here is sweet Sami all geared up for snow and school yesterday morning, before the snow started to really add up. She hates that hat, but I think it’s just the cutest thing in the world.
Fred took the kiddos out for snow play time yesterday, but no pictures of that – just know it was cute, and both kids enjoyed eating snow. Today it’s too darn cold. So I hear. Back to work. Whip is cracking.

Go, Dog. Go!
Grammy treated Sami and I to a girls day, and took us to see a production of Go, Dog. Go! at the Seattle Children’s Theater. This was SO fun – amazing how they translated a book that features a whopping total of 72 words into 2 entertaining acts. Sami giggled the whole time, but her favorite part was when the dogs climbed up the ladder to the tree party. After the play, we enjoyed some warm and not rainy time outdoors at Seattle Center, topped off by dinner at Red Robin – Sami’s all time fave! Thanks Grammy!
Is this just the cutest shot of Sami and Grammy or what?!
Taking turns posing with our Sami before the show!
More Sami-Grammy cuteness
More fun with “Schneedle”
The silly faces were Grammy’s request – good one!
Some shots of the production – Ioved the sets and costuming, especially the color-coordinated Converse high-tops!

A trip to Central Park
No, not in NYC. In Issaquah. Joey’s fave book is Dora’s picnic (the boy is in LOVE with Dohhhh, aka Dora). So I thought he would enjoy a picnic in the park, and I knew Sami would love going on a park road trip on a sunny day. And mama sure did love the Vitamin D.

My Valentines
I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by the love in my life right now. Perhaps it was the scare of a few days in the hospital from that darned eye infection that makes me all the more grateful for my health, my home and all the love that fills it. Perhaps it’s the quality time these past few weeks with my beloved hubby – a weekend away in Bellevue, and a night away at Suncadia a few weeks later – just us! Perhaps it’s having my mama here, and especially during a “need my mommy” time. Perhaps it’s because my kiddos are just so darn cute and sweet it feels like my heart is going to burst when I think about them, let alone cuddle them. Perhaps it’s the wonderful, ever loving family I belong to. And my sweet nieces I miss so much it hurts. Perhaps it’s my amazing and loving friends who bless me with their thoughtfulness. I think it’s all these things and more. The heart in Happy Heart Day is bigger than ever for certain. And next year, look out, because it keeps getting bigger.
So glad you were our Valentine, Mom – I love you so much! Thanks for taking care of us! And thank you, Dad, for letting us borrow YOUR Valentine!
Thanks for being a great Valentine Dad, Toad! And for finishing off our day of heart-shaped food items: Pancakes, apple slices, sandwiches, cookies…with PIZZA! You’re the bestist at it!
I couldn’t resist adding another shot, because he’s just so cute! SMOOOOOOCH!
And the icing on my Valentine cake – receiving this little Valentine card from my precious little nieces!
Love you Harlow and Zoe!!
