Sami wants to marry her Daddy. It’s the sweetest thing. “He’s just the best Daddy in the whole world” she tells me. It’s cute to see her discover that love = marriage. but in this marriage, Daddy’s still Daddy, and she’s not becoming his wife, so I think we’re all good : – ) Tonight she wore her “wedding dress” (the dress she wore in Auntie Erin & Uncle Casey’s wedding) on her date, and Daddy dressed up, too! They went to Scott’s Dairy Freeze for a grilled cheese and ice cream. When Fred was off playing hockey and I was putting her to bed, she told me “Daddy and I got married. We even danced. But don’t ask him about that part. The dancing I mean.” Sami is very competitive. I mean she has a tizzy if you get to the bottom of the stairs before she does. And I’m getting hints that there’s a little part of her that thinks the fact that I’m married to Daddy and not her is somehow something she needs to compete for – a loss she somehow needs to recover. It will be fun to show her these pictures of her wedding dress later in life, and ask her if she’ll be adding a pink Hello Kitty sweatshirt and brown patent boots to her wedding ensemble :- )

Spring is here!
The sun is finally out! This weekend we finally got some outdoor playtime! And Mommy got some camera playtime with Sami. (Jojo, you were taking a nap, trying to sleep off your croup, or you would have been in these photos, too!) Sami thinks she might want to grow out her bangs. So we played around with that until we had so much fun they went back to their natural ways. She says “I think I look more beautiful with no bangs”, and I tell her she’s beautiful no matter what. Even full of knots, my love ; – ) I can hardly believe what a big girl she’s become.

Black and White Beauties
I had a lot of fun playing with my new lens from Grantie Pat this weekend! I think it’s fun how much a shot changes from color to black and white. I’m also having fun playing with Windows Live Photo Gallery to tweak my photos. Pretty rad that this program is free, and lucky me, I get to write copy that tries to tell you that. It’s a little easier to just blab about it here.

Great Wolf Lodge!
As an early celebration of Joey’s 2nd Birthday, we went back to Great Wolf Lodge. Last time Joey visited Great Wolf, he was still crawling. So this trip opened up a whole new world for him. He LOVED it! Our little water boy dove in to all the water activities – going for it on the slides, giggling in the wave pool (especially when Mama played “motor boat”!), and splashing in the fountains forEVER. Sami also went for it – she charged the purple slide, and even tried the BIG red slide (though she didn’t like it – but she tried it!) She practiced he swimming skills in the wave pool, and got her first Magic Quest wand. She loved zapping all the treasure chests, crystals and critters. Joey tuckered himself out so hard he slept for 15 hours the 2nd night!! What a FUN trip!!
We’ll gave Jojo a few early birthday presents – he loves his new Monster boots!
Playing behind the curtain!
Sweet boy is going to be TWO!
Zapping you with her wand!!
Sami and Mommy went to story time – Jojo passed out too early!
Sami trying to change Jojo’s diaper < – > Silly boy!!
Sami helped to rescue her little brother from the bottom of the slide so Daddy could be at the top, and Mommy could take dry pictures on the other side of the fence!
