My baby girl is a Kindergartner! Sami, I’m so proud of you – you ROCKED Kindergarten. You didn’t have any butterflies about it – you were SO excited. Your Daddy, Grammy and I walked down to the bus stop with you where you met your new friend Leland waiting for the bus. You hopped right on when the bus came – you gave us a little wave goodbye but were so excited to get on and save a seat for your friend Aliya who was getting on the bus at the next stop. As the bus drove away, I teared up as my little girl went on to her next adventure, and a whole new phase of growing up. Daddy and I followed your bus and met you at your school, where you lined up to go into your classroom. You were so confident and happy. We followed you into your classroom, but you didn’t need us – you put your things away in your cubby and said hello to Mrs. Johnson, and then you found your chair, and began to color a picture, and to make new friends. You rode next to Sophia on the ride home, and then got off the bus and dashed off to play with her. It was dinner time when we finally got a moment to talk to you about your day – you were so busy in the neighborhood, so excited to be one of the “big kids”! You told us that you loved playing on the playground, doing “homework” and making new friends. It was like in one day you just did a year’s worth of growing up. You were still buzzing even when you were laying down in bed tonight. I am so happy to be your Mommy, Sami. You are so independent, willful, silly, smart, loving and happy (well at least when you’re getting your way ; – ) I am so excited for all you will learn and do this year. But you’ll always be my baby. Love you baby girl.

Joey’s First Day of Preschool!
Joey – you are such a big boy! You were so excited for preschool today! You didn’t have an ounce of hesitation, and didn’t even flinch when we dropped you off at your new school! You sat right down to have lunch with your new friends. And when we went to pick you up, you told us about your friends. But you didn’t want to stop playing outside – you just said “Look at me!” while you swung around like a monkey. Miss Dawn said you did amazing and didn’t fuss about anything. You made a super cool necklace with a monster eye, and you told us you read a book about colors. We are SO proud of you – not even 2 1/2 and ROCKING school!! We love you Jojo!
You LOVE your robot backpack. You wear it well my love!
Miss Dawn loves you to the moon and back, and so does your family!
Daddy making sure you’re all settled in with your lunch before we leave.
You are such a handsome little cutie pie!
Your big sister Sami – passing on North Bend Montessori to be “your school” and her “old school”.
Our happy little family!
